Inspire Radio

Inspire Radio is a new community radio station, broadcasting Australia wide from our studios in Rockingham, WA. Our aim is to promote positive Health and Wellbeing and we are very excited to partner with a variety of Not for profit organizations and Government Departments to run special segments around improving Physical and Mental wellbeing.

Inspire Radio was formed in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Founding Director, Trys Reddick, a Mental Health First Aid trainer was forced to suspend his training because of the lockdown and decided to focus his energies on setting up a community radio station. Trys has lived experience of Mental Health issues, having been diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety, OCD and Agoraphobia at aged 13 and has always loved the power Music can play in healing from both Physical and Mental Health issues.

Inspire Radio has just been given Deductible Gift Recipient Status (DGR) by the ATO. This means that any donations you make to us over $2 are tax deductible dollar for dollar. Every dollar you donate to us, will go towards keeping us going and delivering more much needed services and support to the community.

Inspire Radio started broadcasting from our new studios in July 2020 and have quickly gained a following in the community. Inspire is more than a radio station. We are a family, made up of people with physical Disabilities and Mental Health issues who share a passion to unite, not divide. We are about spreading positive evidence based information that empowers, enriches and encourages our listeners to embrace life, not hide from it. We have been spreading our inspirational message out in the community, including outside broadcasts at Rockingham Centre, Cockburn Gateway Shopping Centre and Secret Harbour Centre and will be at Belmont Forum and Kwinana Marketplace in the coming weeks. If you would like us to broadcast from your business or show, don’t hesitate to get in touch at [email protected]

Inspire Radio is welcoming on board our latest Major Station Sponsor – Ceramico. Ceramico are a local Rockingham based business in the Tile and Bathroom industry who come with over 50 years collectively in the industry. This isn’t the first time that Ceramico has given back to the community, after they fundraised for C.R.E.W. The difference that Ceramico’s kind sponsorship will mean to Inspire and our family, is that we have now taken on a second unit in our complex and will be opening this up to run a weekend Foodbank as well as offering activities for people with Disabilities to gain socialization and develop key skills.

Inspire Radio presenters Rea and Gabby from the Morning Show recently got the opportunity to interview WA Premiere Mark McGowan. Mark came in to talk about COVID-19 and answer some of our listeners questions. We’ve also had the pleasure of talking to Reece Whitby (MLA, Baldivis) who came to talk with Dusty, another of our awesome presenters. They were also joined by Rockingham’s own citizen of the year and Homeless advocate, Owen Farmer. To hear our interviews click here
